Ursa liked the roving too, I guess. I left the roving ball on the couch. I'd like to know how she managed to drape herself around it without moving it an inch. Is it the same skill that allows the cats to leave perfect pyramids of mouse intestines on the porch right outside the door?
It is very gray out, so this looks even more muted than it actually is. It is mostly muted sage green, olive, gray, blue gray, with occasional lighter streaks of almost baby blue. It's a bit overspun, I had planned on plying, then changed my mind. Plying would mess with the colorplay, and I like it the way it is. It is also a bit thick and thin. I'm not used to spinning 100% wool like this. Excuses, excuses.
250 yards or thereabouts. It might need to become a hat. Or a really short scarf. Maybe a neckwarmer? Little fulled bag?

Just Beautiful!
The picture of Ursa on the couch with the roving ball is perfect! It got an audible "Awww!" out of me when your blog post popped up on my screen. She should "wear" that color more often!
Ursa, what a sweetie! That is a great picture of her. I love the storm roving.
I've got the cuff done on one mitten. You are right, it is initially like wrestling with a porcupine. I can't wait to see these mittens finished, they are going to be gorgeous.
I might have to figure out how to do an avatar out of that photo. Sounds too much like work right now though.
Robyn, I can't wait to see them either! That's a hint for photos, you see.
Aaah, she looks like butter wouldn't melt - but was it a different story when you tried to retrieve the roving ball?
What a beautiful little face. She was very proud of herself, wasn't she? I vote for a neckwarmer so you can keep that gorgeousness next to you.
Ursa has a very high "Awww ... " factor - what a neat picture, and I love that color!
storm yarn = perfect name for the beautiful colors on the yarn! Ursa is just adorable!
i think a neckwarmer in that color would be gorgeous! Storm is perfect, reminds me of when you are out on the ocean during a storm and the large waves surround you...you see all those colors in the water!
