Quick Mom Story

I heated up leftovers for supper one night. As I handed Mom her plate, she looked at it and said, "Oh, ick." I said, "That's not what you said last night!", as she had said how good supper was. She looked at me and said, "Huh, I must have been drunk."

The Art of Alzheimer's

Every so often, I come across something Mom has put together. This one is my favorite. These glasses with the nose-shaped rock are sitting on the dashboard of my 75 Chevy plowtruck. Mom likes to sit in it and poke around in the glove compartment, which is where she found the sunglasses.

Heat

Feeling cooler?

These were taken in March after an ice storm followed by a week of very cold weather, and then a snow storm.

Alzheimer's Fundraising Contest!

Do you want to win this yarn? Almost 2 lbs of various skeins of handspun (by me) alpaca/merino/kid mohair/silk blends. Some are 100% alpaca, some are 100% silk. 12 different blends. The alpaca is from my finest boy known as Peach Boy.

My sister is participating in the Alzheimer's Memory Walk. I am helping her with fundraising by holding a contest. For every $10.00 donated, you get an entry to win the yarn. Just go here https://www.kintera.org/faf/donorReg/donorPledge.asp?ievent=227660&lis=1&kntae227660=90F1143C33F4485AA8631FE80ABA9CDA&supId=93116240 to donate, and send me an e-mail at annie at maplecorners dot com (you know the drill) to tell me how much you have donated. I will enter the appropriate number of entries to my spreadsheet in your name, and the winner will be drawn on August 17th.
Good luck!
