Fair to Middlin'

We're doing ok. Laid low with colds, so not much happening around here. I sit down to knit, and fall asleep. Mom isn't sleeping well, and I'm too afraid to take any cough syrup since it might make me sleep and not hear her get up.

The other day I was helping Mom in the bathroom, and had my arms around her in a hug, but also so I could grab the back of her pants to lower them. Yes, I have to be sneaky that way. She was doing her usual sing-song sounds, but when I hugged her, she changed to oh, my baby, my baby, my baby. I choose to believe that she was actually acknowledging me as her daughter. That's a long shot, but it helps me to believe it.

Nope. The touch reached somewhere down there and rekindled an emotional memory. She recognized you, but not where you need it. That's one thing I'm noticing.

That is so sweet...I hope you are feeling better soon. It's so hard to take care of yourself when you have to take care of others too...
