Spinning and a Story

Do you think I'm in a blue/green phase?

The first is domestic wool, the last three are alpaca/wool blends.

So I was working on the computer, and Mom comes and stands next to me. I leaned my head against her, closed my eyes, said, "Goodnight, Mom," and pretended to snore.

She brushed my hair from my face, patted my cheek, and said, "Goodnight, whoever the hell you are."

I would laugh if it didn't make me feel like crying. Damn this disease.

Both funny and sad, and a good story.

that's the perfect sweet and sad sauce. not too sweet, not too sad. juuust right.

you know, i'd love to see the tools you use to make these beautiful things you make. for instance, do you use a spinning wheel? is it like in the fairy tales?

It was one of those occasions where I laughed first, but then when I inhaled, there was a hitch.

Rick, yes, I use a wheel like in the fairy tales. I'll do a post on the tools of the trade one of these days.

One of those "I have to laugh so I don't cry" moments.

I went through the flip-side of your hell back in 2004-2005. I lost my father to ALS, also known as Lou Gehrig's disease. He had a functioning mind trapped within a non-functional body. I don't know which is worse.

Sherri, I'm sorry for the loss of your father. I don't know which is worse either.
