This pile of materials is going to become a guitar strap. Really.
I only have a vague notion of how this is going to work. Seeing it in my head and making it actually happen, uh, yeah. Wish me luck.

Luck! Have you considered weaving? Maybe backstrap or inkle? Dunno if you're a weaver or not, but that wouldn't stretch as much as something knitted.

Lona, I'm actually needlefelting it. I just have a tri-loom, so does that qualify as a weaver? It's mostly done, I'll post tomorrow with the finished product.
Oops--my mistake. I thought you were gonna spin some yarn and use it somehow. Needlefelting is a great idea--can't wait to see it!
Oh, and of course tri-loom people are weavers. We take all types. :-D
good luck! who will the strap be for? I could use the inspiration to make one for hubby!
