Is it just me?

Please tell me this happens to you too. After spinning or carding fiber, I end up with little balls of fiber in my armpits.

How the heck does this happen? It's not like I sit there and think, "Ooh, my armpits are cold, here I'll stick a little fiber up there to keep them warm. " They just appear.

What do you call them? I think they need a special name. I'm not creative enough to come up with one though. Any suggestions?

Hey, does this need to be a contest? Enter your suggestions in the comments, and then winner to be determined by a poll?

I'm sure I have fiber around here I could offer as a prize. 4 oz of something?

ETA: Enter your suggestion by Monday, the 17th, 5 pm CDT. Then I'll do a poll with all the suggestions, and the highest vote getter by Wednesday will win. 4 oz of alpaca or alpaca sock blend, winner's choice. I'll spin it up for the non-spinner.

Non-native Armpit Hair?

Not clever here. Still, I have not had that experience myself. Maybe it's just a fiberfart?

Lona, I like your suggestions!
Rick, not too obvious, I didn't even think of pittypats!
Cindy, I really am the only one? How embarrassing. "Fiberfart", snort!

well, they are a kind of "dustbunny" of the pit from spinning. So i think of pit-bunnies or lamb-balls. Hmmm, Pit-Lint? lol, sorry, no pit lint here either.

My first thought was pit balls, but then I realized they were pit snot. That's the official term, really.

I'm know a spinner so I've never had the experience myself.

I think that pitty fur kind of sums it up. All names are so cute.

Could the possible be pit bunnies, you think?

That's just too funny. I don't spin myself, so I have no experience in this phenomenon, but I really appreciate you sharing with us!

Have a great weekend!

My first thought was Pit Tribbles, but that could you into trouble with the Trekkies. So, since they're fiber, how about Pit Fibbles?
